You know Christmas is around the corner when John Lewis has released their annual holiday spot, this year capturing a sleep deprived's kid playtime with a monster hidden under his bed.


It is as cute as Lucas the spider who people now want to be casted for the next Pixar movie. Created by animator John Slice who created Lucas in the idea process of coming up with characters, and let his nephew record the voice.




This week I listened to TED radio hours podcast on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, with deep dives into each step. Interesting aspects on how we are undervaluing sleep, neuroscientist explains how missing out on a few hours will decrease your immune system, but getting a full night's rest might increase your capability of solving complex problems. On top of the pyramid you got self-actualization and the state of flow - being fully emerged in an activity which can make you loose the sense of time and space. Our natural state of ecstasy, this notion came back to me as I watched this short documentary on Brazilian dancers in the outskirts of Rio. Practice, practice, practice.



Last thing for the week - listen to 99% podcast on how it is to be a graphic designer in the film industry, xxx has worked with, among many others, Wes Anderson on Grand Budapest. Spend 30 somethings minutes when she tells you all you ever wanted to know about the design side of film production.
